The second stage of public consultation for the planned two-unit Sizewell C nuclear power station in Sussex has begun, developer EDF Energy said in a statement.

The public consultation will run from 23 November 2016 until 3 February 2017 and will include 23 public exhibitions across east Suffolk where the public can meet the Sizewell C project team and discuss the proposals, the statement said. The first stage of public consultation for the project took place between November 2012 and February 2013, EDF Energy said.

There will be a third stage of consultation before EDF Energy applies for development consent for two EPR units planned at Sizewell C. Under an agreement signed in September 2016, China General Nuclear Company will have a 20% stake in the project. Details online
